| Hello Fellow Spiritualists, January 1st, 2024 Welcome to the first day of 2024. Our potluck at our last service was a success. We had much to eat. We had seven prizes at our raffle and one of our congregation won a record three of them. Winners pick an envelope that either has a gift card or a scratcher that could win them some money. Door prizes were also given out of a Christmas tree star ornament. We had one unusual event. The music for our hymns would not play even though I could select them. Tim led us in song. After the party, Avery said there were many spirits present in the room and they could have interfered with the electronics. Since the party was over, I tried playing the songs again and sure enough, they worked. We will be having a membership meeting following services on January 21st to vote for officers. Now that our annual Clothing drive has ended, I would like to remind you all that we can collect used reading glasses (not prescription) at our service. I have a neighbor who donates them for those in need with the organization, Eyes for Africa. |
