Rev. Sandra Deckinger gave a talk at the last service about Seances. The Board had held its first séance as a test to make sure we can do this and offer it the congregation. We had table-tipping results and when we brought it up in service, we had a few people who were concerned that we could attract “bad spirits.” Sandra explained in her talk that movies play a part in fears and as Spiritualists, our intent and the intent of our guides are for the good and they protect us. Our church is going to be hosting the Spirit Psychic Fair on June 8th from 11am to 4pm at our same location but in the auditorium. We have a selection of religious topics related to Spiritualism in our library. Each service we bring a small selection that can be checked out for $1. You can keep it for up to six months. We have the complete list of books, should you wish to see what we have. The book of the week from our library is “The Life Beyond the Veil” which is a collection of automatic writings about the Other Side and how we continue to progress.
