Minister in Training, Avery Babon gave the talk on the gift of our pets. We also gave a Blessing to our pets as part of the service and two owners brought their pets. One was a cat which really surprised me. Due to a technical error, our service stopped recording, five minutes into Avery’s talk.
DON’T GET CAUGHT OFF GUARD! We will be going off Daylight Savings Time which means clocks roll back one hour. This gives you an extra hour before coming to church on Sunday.
This is just a reminder that we are looking for people who can attend weekly private séance sessions on Wednesday evenings in North San Jose at 7:30PM. Spirit requests more energy and consistency. You get weekly access to spirit for your questions at no charge. We are also recording the sessions for private use only, if you would like a recording. If you are interested, please contact our church, by email or call (408) 641-6281. Thank you.
Our next service is on:
November 3rd, 2024 11AM
Don’t forget Daylight Savings ends!
Our services are on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. To see the rest of our schedule, click on the button below. Services are held at the Southside Community Center, Room 6, 5585 Cottle Road, San Jose, CA 95123. We offer coffee, tea, and cold bottled water.
Seance
We have had some successful table tipping and trances. Our last public séance had so many questions, spirit never had time to go into trance with our mediums, Lisa or Avery. Our next public séance will be on November 9th at 7PM. (This is so it doesn’t conflict with Thanksgiving week). If you are interested, please contact Robert at church, (408) 641-6281, or office.lilchurch@gmail.com
Sunday’s speaker Rev. Robert Ingold will be speaking on Lessons from the Afterlife Part 2. Once we cross over, we aren’t done.
| It’s going to be that time of the year for our Christmas Clothing drive. We are now collecting clothing items that go to our friends at Compassion Ministries who donate them to the homeless. Don’t throw those gently used items away! |
Quote for the week: I’m the oldest of three kids. I’m older than my little brother by 2.5 years and my little sister by 9.5. When I was about fourteen or so, arguing with my dad in private about something I don’t remember, he, being the second-oldest of eight kids, told me:
“Any decision you make in this household, you make three times. Once when you make it, once when your brother makes the same decision after watching you do it, and once when your sister makes the same decision after watching you and your brother do it. How you treat your brother will tell him how he can treat your sister; and how you treat your sister tells her how she will expect to be treated for the rest of her life, even as far as her future boyfriends.”That kinda shook me up and made me rethink my role as the oldest child; I started taking my responsibilities as the role model a lot more seriously after that.
